Both genetic and environmental factors are believed to be responsible for thyroid disorders in PCOS but these serious issues can be fought easily with a good diet and some physical exercise. Iodine is an important element to fight these problems but too little or too much iodine both can cause and worsen hypothyroidism therefore professional guidance is very important.
